Getting what you really want – does that sound selfish to you? If it does, this series is going to change that. But what I’m more fired up about is the theme of this series: putting more meaning in the things we do. And specifically, how can we put meaning in the goals we set.

We begin that process by tapping into the power of concrete language. To read that article, click here.

The next clue to put more meaning in the goals we set is found in this quote:

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

Did you figure it out? Sure you did. We create more meaning by giving something to someone. Spoiler alert: this whole thing is about this. But imagine connecting the stuff we love with helping others at the same time? This may sound cheesy, but that’s the ultimate win-win.

I mean, sure, a lot of companies have a social conscience and donate revenue or products to great causes, but I’m talking about individuals who love playing golf, riding motorcycles, smoking cigars and drinking Scotch – is there a way to do stuff like and make a difference in the lives of others? You know the answer to that question, but are you open to doing it?

Punch line? We create more meaning by giving something to someone. Stick around and find out how.
